Unusual Machines, Inc. (NYSE: UMAC) has received an initial purchase order valued at $3.75 million from Performance Drone Works (PDW), marking the beginning of a strategic supplier relationship aimed at scaling domestically produced small unmanned aerial systems (sUAS).

The order will support PDW’s expanding AM-FPV drone program and reflects a broader push to strengthen the U.S.-based supply chain for mission-critical drone components. PDW designs and manufactures mission-focused drone platforms, with an emphasis on compliance and domestic sourcing as demand for U.S.-built systems accelerates.

Unusual Machines will provide key components as PDW ramps production, leveraging its recent investments in U.S. manufacturing capacity. These investments include domestic motor production as well as dedicated facilities to support headset assembly and future production initiatives.

Management at Unusual Machines indicated that the order highlights progress toward building a scalable domestic manufacturing base aligned with national priorities around drone security, compliance, and supply chain resilience. The company has been positioning itself as a supplier of critical drone components manufactured in the United States, amid increasing scrutiny of foreign-sourced systems.

PDW noted that the partnership supports its efforts to scale compliant first-person-view (FPV) drone inventory quickly while maintaining domestic sourcing standards. The agreement is intended to ensure availability of critical components as PDW responds to growing demand.

While the $3.75 million order represents an initial engagement, the relationship establishes Unusual Machines as a strategic supplier to PDW and underscores the growing momentum behind reshoring drone manufacturing and strengthening the U.S. sUAS ecosystem.
