Mountain Radiance, a physician-led medical spa, marked the completion of a significant facility expansion with a Grand Re-Opening Open House held earlier this year at its location at 7 Yorkshire St., Suite 101.
The event invited the local community into the newly expanded space for an evening of light bites, complimentary consultations, and a meet-and-greet with the practice's clinical team. Attendees also had the opportunity to enter for a chance to win complimentary treatments.
The expansion increases the practice's treatment capacity and adds additional space for patient consultations and care. Mountain Radiance, which is co-owned by physician Dr. Mark Chandler and Practice Director Lauren Chandler, has operated in Asheville for several years and has been voted Best Med Spa in the Best of Asheville awards three years in a row.
"This expansion is something our patients made possible, and the open house was our way of saying thank you," said Lauren Chandler, Practice Director and Aesthetic Laser Operator at Mountain Radiance. "We wanted to create a chance for people to walk through the new space, meet the providers who care for them, and see that the warmth they've come to expect hasn't changed even as we've grown."
Chandler noted that the open house format was a deliberate choice intended to reflect the practice's approach to patient care.
"We've always believed that good aesthetic care starts with a real conversation, not a sales pitch," Chandler said. "Offering complimentary consultations at the event allows people to ask questions in a relaxed setting, with no pressure. That's how we operate every day, and we wanted the re-opening to feel the same way."
The practice operates under direct physician oversight, with Dr. Mark Chandler onsite for treatments, and its clinical team also includes a nurse injector and physician assistant. The medical spa services offered included Botox®-type injectables, dermal fillers, laser treatments, skincare procedures, and hormone replacement therapy. The practice also offers aesthetician services, such as facials.
With all treatments, the team emphasizes an educational, consultative model in which treatment recommendations are tailored to each individual's goals rather than prescribed uniformly. They regularly pursue continuing education through manufacturer-led programs and industry conferences, and Chandler said the practice views ongoing training as central to the quality of care it delivers rather than as an occasional formality.
"We get genuinely excited about new techniques and the latest training, and we love sharing that with our patients," Chandler said. "When you sit down with us, you are getting the benefit of a team that stays current and a physician who is actually here, working with patients, as well."
Chandler added that physician oversight remains a defining feature of how Mountain Radiance distinguishes itself within the regional market.
"A lot of people don't realize how much variation there is in this industry," Chandler said. "Having a physician onsite isn't just a detail to us. It shapes how we assess each patient, how we plan treatments, and why we can confidently stand behind the results we provide."
The expanded facility supports the practice's emphasis on individualized attention, with additional consultation space designed to give each patient more privacy and unhurried time with a provider.
"Growth only matters if it lets us serve people better," Chandler said. "More space means shorter waits, more privacy, and more time with each person who walks through our doors. That was the whole point."
The practice has accumulated hundreds of five-star reviews over the course of its operation in the Asheville area, a record its leadership attributes to its physician-led model and emphasis on individualized care.
